Hello guys. So at first my boys were crowing in the morning half past 7 and that would be it. Now..... Too many times during the day!! Everytime they get spoken to or they hear noises they start to crow!! It's beginning to become a pain as I'm sure neighbours are gonna start to complain! Is this normal?!! Is there anything we can do to calm this down pls?

Thank you in advance

Just reading this made my roo in the kitchen start to crow. Haha.

I've noticed my roos will respond to other roos crowing, so one will go off and then the other and then the first one again and then the second one again. Separating them so they cant hear each other has helped. Then it's just a couple crows instead of a drawn out period of call and response. And a particular one may be the instigator.

Otherwise my understanding is that roosters only crowing in the morning is a myth?

Totally a myth!

They are boys so they are going to crow. For the early morning crow... You can try keeping them in a completely dark cage of some sort till a reasonable time in the morning then let them out to crow... My friend does that with his rooster, has a separate dark cage for him within the coop and he doesnt crow till they let him out in the morning so he won't disturb the neighbours too early.
As for day crows, it's normal, I don't think you can do much about that. They probably crow more often if you have multiple boys though.
