help!!! cold chick

see my post about the warmed towel..give warm water..not cold.

if you have the Poly-vi-sol (no iron)..you can give that..but the warming is most important.

I keep an inexpensive heat pad around..

she has perked right up after the sugar water... she has been eating now for about 3 minutes and drinking

I have a rice pad you can throw in microwave I let him lay on over a wash cloth and it seemed to help.... thank you all I do not know what I would do or daughter if we lost another one today (this morning we woke up to a nearly dead baby, no energy, did the best we could worked on her for almost 2 hrs before she gave up, especially since those 2 little fuzz butts were offspring of my daughter araucana she lost over memorial day

Oh, that's wonderful!!!
Just keep an eye on the chickie, make sure that it's still eating and drinking to keep energy to keep it going through the night.
These chicks are SO much tougher than we give them credit for.

oh, I probably will be up for quite awhile with her, I just could not imagine losing the other one out of the hatch to replace my daughters araucana.... little chicky is running around the brooder and jumping up in the air about 6 inches and now she is chirping away
