hELP- connect a solar panel to a rechargeable battery?auto doors

We have an automotive battery for our electric fence and it has a solar panel attached as well. We have small clamps on the end of both sets of wires. We put the solar panel clamps on horizontally and the fence controller clamps on vertically. Just need to have small enough clamps so that there is still a bit of the battery terminal sticking up so you can get a clamp on it. Our clamps are like the ones that jumper cables have, only the "teeth" are about 1/2" wide, not big like the jumper cables.

What I would give for an auto door.

Hi Wannabchick, I just read your post. Been on vacation. Did you get it fixed??

Is it this one?

Solar Panel, Battery, Timer Kit

Cuz theinstructions are posted there. DH says this may help you.

I have the Addamotor opener already. LOVE IT! I have it on electricity (did u try that to see if the door works all the way?) but want to get it on solar. I'm looking to get this kit in a couple weeks. If this is yours, can you let me know what you think of it?

Thanks,

E/

I didn't know about the kit and bought all the same pieces separately...for $40 more.

I also didn't know about those instructions. It would have made live easier, but I still figured it out and got it all working this weekend.
Here's my setup without the solar panel. I'll install that this week. The battery and timer will go in an electrical pull out box to the left of the motor.
