Yesterday I found one of my Coturnix Quail lying under one of the logs in the aviary. It's rainy and a bit cold here so she may have been stricken with hypothermia. She was very cold, so I put her under one of the chick brooder lamps we have to spare. Today her condition hasn't changed besides her being warmer. Could it be Mareks? Or a Respiratory disease? I really don't want to lose her, since she is a very good hen...

Her symptoms:
  1. Immobile, she isn't walking, but instead laying on her side. This is so problematic that her poo was stuck to her leg when I checked her this morning.
  2. Gasping for breath.
  3. Closing eyes/swollen eyes.
  4. Her poop seems normal (dark brown with yellow cap)

Bump
Her condition hasn't gotten better, and she isn't moving much... I gave some NetTex poultry Nutri drops to her to see if she will revive.

If there's no external reason you can see such as discharge from her nose, it could be an injury of some kind. Perhaps she flushed upwards because she got a fright and banged her head the wrong way (very common with quail). I'd isolate her from the others with food and water close by and see how she goes. Make sure she's out of drafts so even a cardboard box with the top open for ventilation.

I had one that must've been grabbed by a rat through the half inch hardware cloth and there was no blood or visible injury but he couldn't walk. It took awhile and he always walked a little funny but he did finally recover.

They are tough little birds but it's difficult to know what is wrong sometimes. Fingers crossed that your pretty girl will get better.

She doesn't look good to me and her symptoms seem pretty severe.. You never know with quail though, it almost seems that as long as they don't starve to death, they can get over everything. If she doesn't eat, you might need to force feed her to prevent her from starving. But if she doesn't get better within a day, I'd also consider culling her. It does sound to me like she's dying.
A respiratory disease shouldn't cause her eyes to swell unless it's systemic, it also shouldn't cause her to be unable to walk without any prior symptoms.. But I've also never heard of a boinking injury causing a bird to gasp for breath..
Is the leg sticking out at an odd angle in the last pic, or is she just laying in a strange position..?

Sadly, she died this morning...

We have a very high aviary roof, so I'd doubt she would boink her head on anything...

Edit: In the last pic she had her foot drawn into her feathers. Only had her left leg sticking out
