In the Brooder
Yesterday I found one of my Coturnix Quail lying under one of the logs in the aviary. It's rainy and a bit cold here so she may have been stricken with hypothermia. She was very cold, so I put her under one of the chick brooder lamps we have to spare. Today her condition hasn't changed besides her being warmer. Could it be Mareks? Or a Respiratory disease? I really don't want to lose her, since she is a very good hen...
Her symptoms:
Her symptoms:
- Immobile, she isn't walking, but instead laying on her side. This is so problematic that her poo was stuck to her leg when I checked her this morning.
- Gasping for breath.
- Closing eyes/swollen eyes.
- Her poop seems normal (dark brown with yellow cap)
