Help! Cough??

My EE made this bizarre yelping sound earlier while I was gardening, which I later figured out was coughing. She coughed maybe 3 or 4 times and hasn’t since then (about 4 hours). What do I do? She has no other symptoms...no runny nose, no swelling , no lethargy. Comb and wattles look good. What is this?? How worried should I be??

If she's not doing it now, then I wouldn't worry too much just keep watch on her.

A cough of 3-4 times in a row and then no more she may have gotten a piece of food stuck and needed to cough.

Maybe she had something stuck in her throat?

Oh thank goodness!!! I can’t tell you how much I love that chicken! She comes running to me every time I go outside. The whole flock was stressed today from something that scared them so much one of the silkies vanished for 8 hours. We were sure a hawk had scooped her up. Then bedtime rolled around and there she was trying to get in. It’s been a doozy for the girls and I was really getting sick with worry that Llama (EE) had something big.

Oh thank goodness! That is terrifying!

As far as the coughing Llama (LOVE the name), just keep an eye on her.
