HELP day 19 humidity 50% what more can i do ?

I am on day 19 and cannot get my humidity more than 50% I have filled all trays and put a wet sponge in in the only space left in the bator. i think I can't put anything wet that will touch the eggs is that right ? anyone got any ideas about how I can raise the humidity with no space left can a wet sponge touch the eggs ?

If you can remove the water and replace it with VERY warm, not hot, warm it seems to help the humidity. Too hot will raise the temp of the bator a couple of degrees.

put a maxi pad in your incubator and pour warm water on it, it does the trick.

what kind of incubator? are you sure your humidity is reading right?

I had that problem last year, and come to find out, my hygrometer was off. If you haven't calibrated it yet, you probably should, after that hatch, and have another for back-up and cross-comparison.

(If I get condensation, that's my clue that humidity is almost too high.)
