Help! Day 20 & mama chicken wont sit anymore... *** Update day 25***

All this is good to know...I'm sure it's everyone's nightmare for a broody to get up at the last minute! I don't know what I'd do!

ok

so this morning the others baby's mama abandonded the nest.

I brought them in and have set up our Wolf-o-bator. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT SUGESTION of putting them in the oven! I would kiss you 'love my critteers' right now if you were here! I have never been so glad that we sprung for the Wolf Range with the side bread oven. My Dear Husband is going to get some extra lovin'!

I will send pictures!

One of the little buggars is peeping away in his shell. I had no idea that they do that.

Which way should I place them in the egg carton????? Big side up. I have already put them in. But I just read about NOT moving them the last trhree days.


What do I do???

so now my broody is back on the nest like nothing ever happened.

Do I take the eggs and put them back under her... or leave them in the oven at 95 deg. with tons of wet washcloths.?.?.?.

I am going to leave the one who pipped.

She pipped to early and dried out. I am not sure what to do but to keep her moist and help her... but as little as possable.

She has two membraines... one outer and ookey inner one she has broken through both. Im not sure she is ready to come out.

She has a smidge of blood from where she was struggling. I dont know if she ripped the inner membrane????

Not sure what to do. Other than take a zanex...

Also, wondering if you have a brooder set up. Just thinking that once those chicks come out they're going to be flopping all over and could slip between the bars on the racks.
