Help! Day 8 Incubating - Are they developing?

I received 2 Chinese Button Quail eggs from my local butterfly conservatory. I’ve been wanting to raise quail for a long time and have done a lot of research, but incubation in application for the first time is much more confusing. Are these eggs still developing? They both look so odd in comparison to photos I’ve seen of candling. They were handled quite a bit during transport home initiallyy. Hoping they have not died.

It's hard to tell but I think the one with the dark spots might have already quit.

Are you seeing any veining in person?

Shine the light in the fat end of the egg.

Are those dark spots moving freely when you wiggle the egg slightly?
If so then that is not a good sign.
