We have 3 eggs left in the incubator. Tonight starts day 24. I'm pretty sure these won't hatch, and decided to candle before tossing to be sure. Can't figure it out though. There are 2 whose egg sacs looked normal and there was movement on day 18, now their air sac is huge, almost 1/3 of the egg. What's up with that? The other looked normal, just nothing going on.

It's called "drawing down". Caused by the chick repositioning just before hatching. the air cell really isn't any bigger, just moved so it looks larger in candleing.
Can't offer any advice on whether to toss them yet or not. You kind of have to go with your own feelings.

someone wrote the other day that he placed them in a bowl of warm water. if they float throw them out if it has a live chick in it it will wiggle in the water, take it out and dry off and incubate.

I would candle them if you dont see any movement then i would toss them out, I had 7 left in my bator today aand when i candle i didnt see anything in some and i had 2 that had chicks in them but they were not moving. So i crack them open i had 5 that didnt do any thing and the other 2 eggs were fully completed but they were dead and they were on the wrong end also. Good luck. I toss my at 21days because all the others hatched on day20.

I tried the warm water thing. I didn't see any noticeable movements. They did float, but I think the movements I did see were just vibrations from people/animals walking around in the house.
