Help determine sex of rescued faverolle

Rescued a faverolle from the local animal shelter and trying to determine sex of the bird. Can anyone tell from the photo? I could add more pictures if it would help.

I'm not 100% convinced it's a rooster - a salmon fav rooster feathers in black like this yes, but the comb growth is non-existant and I would expect to see more on this bird if it were a rooster.

Did they shelter give you any indication of age?

No they didn't know the age. They had only had it a week. I guessed maybe 4 weeks but I've never had this breed so its only a guess.

It is a cockerel. A mismarked pullet would have some brown in the head, neck and back. Those light hackles can only belong to a male.

Does it have feathered legs and extra toes? It doesn't look like its legs are feathered, but it could just be the pic. If it is a SF, that color definitely indicates its a male.

Others have beat me to it, but I was basing it on color. A pullet would be a light brown color.
