i have about 40 hens the oldest of which being 2.5 and im only getting 4-8 eggs per day. They get plenty of water and extra egg mash along with oyster shell and they are free range during the day. recently i found a dead hen in the coop and a couple days later another in the next box with no signs of injuries or mites. someone at the local feed store suggested it could be worms so i purchased a de wormer and a vitamin suppliment along with the highest protien feed i could get. i just want to know if anyone had any similar cases? they were under supplimental light all winter and none appear to be moulting

did you get a post mortem done on them? any blood in their faeces? did you get faeces analysed before worming? sorry for all the questions, I am new to keeping hens but know a bit about parasites. Blood in the faeces can indicate Coccidia, which can kill young chickens but you would need to send a sample to your vet for analysis.
