Help! Did duckling die while hatching??

I had a duckling that was hatching it was peeping and opening its mouth 2 hours ago but it is not moving anymore and is making no sound. Could it have died?

Unfortnately yes. Carefully break off the shell around the pip. If it's alive you will see movement/sound. If the membrane covering the duckling is bloodless and transluscent looking with no movement off the duckling, the poor thing was unable to hatch. It happens. I hope it's alive-good luck.

Put it back in the incubator. 2 hours is nothing and they often take breaks to rest. Hatching is very hard
