Help! Do I need to get another friend for my goose?

I have a goose, and had a duck until tonight. I got them 3 years ago. They were the best of buddies. A raccoon found a way into my feathered kids kennel, and killed my duck. Do I need to get my goose another friend or could he possibly be ok?? They spent every day and night together.
Sorry if this doesn’t make much sense, I’m still reeling from the shock and heartbreak.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Yes, you should start looking for another goose as a companion. Please feel free to post pictures of your setup on the Coops and Run forum for ideas on predator proofing it. Please be advised that the raccoon is very likely to come back for the goose. You need to act today to secure the coop for tonight. :hugs
