HELP does my baby girl have Marek's?

How sad! I hate that when they are sick yet look so happy. It just makes it worse.

When were the last chickens added to your flock?
When did you get her?
Where did your chickens all come from?
How old is this chicken?

She is 7-9 weeks old. We got them at the same time from Southern States, a farm supply store. I moved the outside about 2 weeks ago.

It could be a number of things. Neuro, vitamin deficiency, I don't know what. Looking at the video, I could say it looks like Marek's. But if you got them all from a farm store at the same time, I don't know. If the chick was to have Marek's, she would have had to have contact with a chicken that had it. As far as I know feed stores get their chicks from hatcheries, so I would think Marek's was less likely . Now if the feedstore took in local chicks as well, it could come from that. Or possibly a neighbor with chickens. You may just end up waiting to see if anyone else gets the symptoms. Or you could get her blood tested by Texas A&M.

I've had 5 (my whole flock) die from Marek's and they all died somewhat differently, but none of them had that much energy. It usually started on one leg, where there was a limp, not both all wobbly like that. They often had swollen bellies and many of the other hallmarks (puffy eyes, white patches on eyes).

Thanks everyone for the posts. I have been giving her yogurt and vitamins (Polivysol). So far no real changes, but I have only been doing this for 24 hours. She loves sitting in my lap eating her yogurt. She is still full of enery and eats and drinks. Hopefully we will see improvements soon.

Be careful of the yogurt, she doesn't need the extra calcium yet. A little bit is fine but no more than that. If you are giving the yogurt for the probiotics, you would do better giving her a poultry one so she doesnt get more calcium than she needs. Too much calcium now can cause problems later with laying, walking, etc. later.

I was giving her yogurt for the extra riboflavin. I will cut down her yogurt. I just want her to be able to walk again. ;(

What else can I do? When should the extra vitamins start helping? I am running out of things to try.

Did you get the human Super B Complex pills? This is what she needs right now as well as sunshine, seriously. It really can be that simple.

She has been in the sun the last 2 days. I am at our local store and they only have B12. Guess I will have to wait until tomorrow. :(
