Thanks. So far he is alive and well. He won't approach the pullets when I am near and Buffy is almost healed. Once fully healed, we will try one more time to integrate, but if that is bad, off he goes... So hard

In my opinion....there are too many nice roosters out there to put up with a bad one. Three weeks ago I was dealing with a roo problem that has cleared up now (apparently), but I will have no hesitation to give him away to our local church (they feed the immigrant workers) for someone to have dinner.

Like you, I can't kill/process/eat my birds....but I can give them an opportunity to live a good life, but if that doesn't work out, I make myself feel better by knowing the bird is going to feed hungry people.
