He got a warm bath. Then I put him in a crate under a heat lamp. DH put ointment on the broken skin. I felt it might be best to wait till tomorrow to do anymore. The big question is the skin on the neck is totally ripped off of the muscle. Can anyone suggest what to do about this neck?

My hen's skin grew back(the muscle had been exposed), but we had to keep her separate...we used ointment to keep to from drying out and to keep the gauze from sticking to the flesh.

I would think so too..Luvins what else do they do for burn victims ( I know he's not burned but...) something that won't dry the skin right???
Sem..Is he eating or drinking? Howwas he when he had a bath? poor poor baby
Blu Kote has very strong dissenfectant. One hen got attacked and we could see her organs. Blu Kote for a few weeks and she started to grow feathers and was almost 100% until the dog got her again and Killed Her.
If you can find Silver Sulfadiazene cream that someone mentioned, it is used on burn victims and the raptor center uses it to help with bumblefoot. BluKote will probably burn like fire.
