HELP! (Dogs)

Any other recommendations?!
There isn't a home remedy for everything, if he hasn't been to the vet in 3 months there isn't anything we can do, we cannot drive your dog to the vet or make the appointment for you. You don't even have to take the dog in, call them, send them an email with photos. If cost is the issue, TELL them that, most vets have cost plans or they'll know another vet that does. This is something that should be seen, if you're cleaning it twice a day for 3 months and its not resolved, its time for a vet visit. Was one scheduled earlier this month when you made the post? It'll likely get busy over this next weekend, make the appointment now or the wait will get longer. Ear infections and ear issues can cause deafness, please at least call your vet to see if they'd advise a visit

Cost IS NOT the problem they just simply won't take him in.

We had called our vet about 2 months ago, and they said they can get him in. We haven't heard them since, called them 3-4 weeks later same response. They haven't told us when to come in or anything we have even asked, and they say "we're gonna email you" no response. This is the only vet close to us cause we live in the middle of nowhere. I have noticed quite a bit of improvement since I clipped the surrounding area, I think we're just gonna end up taking him in this week or next.

Find a different vet please. Even if it means driving 2 hours. I get the living in the middle of nowhere. We have to have one vet close to us. Now we have 4 within 30 minutes. But ear problems can get really bad. Your vet sounds like the vet we use to use. Couldn't get in for months. Just giving medication without seeing the dog because they couldnt get them in. We waited weeks for a email back. Which we never got. Our new vet is so good they get us in the quickest, and go through all the options with us instead of just one thing.

I will definitely try to find a new one! He is doing 10x better sure he still needs to see a vet but it's not urgent.

His ear is looking sooo much better I switched up the flush I have been using, I clipped the inside of his ear, put him in the cone of shame, and put Neosporin on his wounds from scratching, he has been doing much better! Tonight I'm letting him sleep without the cone, but if he scratches too much I'll put it back on, but all day, and he hasn't scratched it once. I'll post pics in a bit.

This has been his ear the past month, and of course the cone of shame 🙁

I'm really hoping that we can maintain it, I didn't clean it yesterday so that I wasn't irritating the scabs by cleaning it, this morning I looked at it, sure there was still some goop, but after letting those scabs heal they are looking much better. I noticed even when he does scratch them now he's not making that very load groaning sound which is huge improvement!
