help dont know what to do

Its called a thermometer/hydrometer. I use them also. The best way to know whats going on. At our Walmart they where located right across the isle from the expandable screens that you put in windows. They are small and costs about $7. They use a AAA battery.

As far as the humidity goes I keep the wells in my bator full and I cut sponges into big enough strips to put them down in the wells. I also put some along the sides to help bring it up when it's time. I used aquarium hose and inserted them through the vent holes and thru the screen and into the wells. One hose per well and I use one of those injectors for meat to put the water in the hose. I rarely have to open the bator at all. Don't forget to put the plugs in on lock down too. It holds the humidity in. I do hoave to open the windows briefly to add water to the sponges at the sides but I do it very fast. I go on Lock Down tomorrow. I may just take out the turner tonight when I candle the last time.

It's called a Hygrometer. Good luck!!!

Yep, hygrometer and don't forget to calibrate it because they can be off by quite a bit. It's easy-

1. 1/2 cup salt in a small glass bowl or coffee cup.
2. 1/4 cup water mixed into the salt to make a sludge.
3. place salt mixture in large ziploc bag with hygrometer (beside bowl, not in it)
4. seal and let sit for around 12 hours.

Hygrometer should (but prob. won't) read 75 anything over/under and you know to +/- that amount when it's in the bator.

My hygrometer read 72 so I add 3 to whatever it reads in the bator. If it read 85 I would need to -10.

Happy hatching!
