I have a pekin drake that put his head through pen fencing -- parallel bars the same size and spacing as a dog crate. I heard a commotion and found him looking like he had burst through the bars pushing two aside, and the two drakes inside the pen pecking furiously at him. [He had pushed his head through being aggressive towards the drakes inside -- he looks for trouble]. I had a great struggle getting him back out but once I had got him out it turned out he hadn't bent the bars he had pushed his head, neck and front of his chest through one gap. Another duck keeper has written that pekins are air heads, and my drake would confirm that description!I just went to check in him. He’s sitting up and vocal. Poor guy. I feel awful, not sure what else i can do for him tonight.
