I'm new to raising ducks, in the past I've incubated quail. I need some help since I'm a newbie with little ducklings. Ok so one of my eggs in the incubator has pipped. However, he/she has had their beak poking out of the shell for over a day and a half! I'm pretty concerned. I can tell the little gal is still alive because they keep opening and closing their beaks without sound. No chirps. It happens maybe once every 2 minutes. I want to help, but from an exposed section of shell the inner membrane is Way too veiny to help.what can I do? I'm afraid they might pass on if they stay this way!
