HELP DUCK FEATHERS FROZEN!

Are your ducks white or light colored @CherpNPeep my white Muscovys I could always see their yellow oil from their preen gland on some of their feathers.

I've seen the same on Pekins.

So that's why my Indian Runners white sweat-shirts (chest) become yellowish-orange when the weather is cold! They preen like crazy and i was asking myself if there's something wrong with my eyes…
I have learned something today! Thank you very much!

Dry bedding, shelter from the wind, and they should be fine if not soaked to the skin. Good luck.

I noticed that on one of mine today too! Also thought it was my eyes!

question, muscovies molt after laying first egg?

My Muscovy's have their big molt where they lose the flight feathers in late fall. Never seen much molting at other times and never after they lay their first egg. At least not noticeable, BUT they will line their nest in their feathers when getting ready to go broody.

UPDATE

I found that only their tail is frozen. What should I do. It's - 7 C. (19.4 F for you Americans )
They seem fine dipping their heads in the water and eating.

We’re they wet inside their shelter or was this after you let them out? I don’t think other than keeping them inside there is a whole lot you can do as long as their skin isn’t frozen then you have to worry about frost bite.

They were not wet when they went inside last night. Their tail is like frosty and I touch it. It's weird that it's just the females.
