Help! ducking question

can I put a new duckling 1-2 days Im guessing in with chicks that are 1-2 weeks old?? I put a duck egg under her and it hatched...will it be ok with the chicks being that much older? should I keep em seperate? Thanks!

Hi there! You need to be careful with chicks as their sharp beaks can poke eyes out. Saying that, I currently have a day old duckling, in with our 1 week old chicks. They're about the same size and the chicks accepted the duckling almost immediately.

Maybe put them together and watch over them. They will probably peck a little at first, but as long as it's not too aggressive it should be fine. If it's too aggressive, see if you can put them in a pen next to each other so the duckling's not too lonely. Good luck!
