Help! Duckling can't walk on one foot

My mom noticed my brothers duckling never stood up. We took it out and when it tried to walk it took like 2 steps and would fall down. We think it is just it's left leg because when we touched it, it winced. How do you know if it is a fracture, break or a sprain? Is there anything we can do for it? How long should we wait to see how it does? Thank you so much!

was the duckling always like this, or did he just start favoring the leg? does he have any punctures, bites, or wound marks on him?
