Help! Duckling dying.

Hi. I put my 2 ducklings in my bathtub a few minutes ago and they were fine. Now the girl is flopping around and seems paralyzed. She's gonna die I think. Is there anything I can do? I love her so much! Maybe she ingested soap??? I looked in and they were playing happily and 10 SECONDS later she was flopping. Please help! I need a quick reply. HELP

Please? She's still living, but is in bad shape. She can sit up, but someone's she'll flop over on her side. She closes her eyes sometimes. She may be able to stand for a second, but I doubt it. Please help! I need to know how to help!

How now she is just siting there (head up) and she keeps opening her mouth. I tried to give her a bit of Poultry Nutri-Drench, but she didn't want much. Also, if she starts moving, she gets acted up. She tries to get up to walk but she just can't. She flops. If she gets onto her side she can turn upright though. A few weeks ago, her mate had been wrapped up for angel wing and he had two metal clips holding the wrap together. The next morning one clip was missing. Is it possible she ate it? It had 2 very sharp ends and it was an inch long approximately. But also, her mother's sibling had an 'illness' sort of like this last year but her's was a bit different. She was limp and rolling around and having spasms. Could it be genes? I feel SO bad. What if she is hurting because I did unintentionally?!? Maybe I could have prevented it :'( Please. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Also, if she does pass, I know she'll be up in ducky Heaven and having fun. If she passes, I'll know that God needed her for some reason up there. Her sibling will be so SAD if she passes though It's her only friend and he'll be alone unless I put him in with the grown ducks. But last time I tried to introduce the ducklings to the big ducks, my male grown duck attacked the male duckling. I have pictures of my ducklings wrapping their necks around each other because they were showing affection. I need help

I'm reading posts and am a little confused,was she fine before bath,because you mentioned that she may have ate a metal clip,or that she may have ingested soap(was there soap around that she could have eaten)was there any bath oil or anything added to bath water? Possible she has ingested water into her lungs.

She seemed absolutely fine until I put her into the tub. And l watched her, stepped out of the room for literally 10 seconds and she was falling/quacking/wings out. And nothing was added to the water that day. All of the soap around her was closed. What happens if she has water in her lungs?

I don't know if this is what happened,but if she did inhale water into her lungs it could be deadly or she could end up with respiratory issues,the you would need an antibiotic. Look for signs of her having difficulty breathing,acting lethargic.

I am not sure on any of this, but it's better to try than leave her to die.

Try to listen to her lungs. They should sound clear and deep. Have you ever listened to a person's lungs? About like that, except, obviously, not as loud. If you hear gurgling or rasping, something along those lines, it's very possible she inhaled water.

If it were a human, a pump would be put into the person's lungs to remove the liquid. Obviously that won't work on a duckling! So I would treat it like the duckling was an infant who was choking. You could try gently using the base of your hand to drum on the ducklings back (or front? I'm not sure, I know how to do all this stuff on people, but not on animals!) to try and expel the liquid. This may move around the water so the duckling can't breathe, or she may stop breathing. Prior to doing this, I would use water on a paper towel to gently clean out her beak, so you would feel comfortable giving her some type of mouth to mouth.

Again, I am applying human medical knowledge to animals, so it might hurt the duckling, but sounds like she's in bad shape, and doing something is a good idea!

I don't really feel comfortable if it may kill her. She keeps opening and closing her mouth about every second or so. This happened last night at about 7 or so. So it's been about 24 hours. Should she be drinking water or not?
