Help! Duckling has down missing on face, and a scab on her head...?

Ok will have to get them out for an hour a day. It's quite cold out though, and they just cry and try and huddle in.
I put them in the greenhouse to scratch around and they loved it, so warm and there's plenty to explore with plant pots and logs everywhere.

I gave them some pak choi and broccoli suspended on some string and they were going crazy snaffling it up! Absolutely loved it

Good for you and if it's too cold outside still don't take them out of course but the green house sounds like a nice alternative.

I havr two snowy mallard ducklings that have started to do the same around their necks, one is completely bald. Scratches at it a ton. I posted about it last night. Ive owned ducks/ducklings for years and have never seen this before.
Can I put anything on it? Its not red or bloody. Im afraid if they keep scratching at it, it will end up that way.
OP.. Sorry to high jack your post.. I only got one response to mine..

I did have a pic on my post.. Its titled.. Snowy mallard scratching at neck., (i think) its under ducks..
You could try some triple antibiotic or neosporin just make sure what ever you use has no pain relief in it. could be just itchy form losing it's fluff before new feathers start coming in. Even something like vitamin E capsule cut open and put the oil on the skin may ease itching.
