Help! Duckling won’t eat.

Hello,
I have a three day old duckling that doesn’t want to eat. We have it on non medicated crumble mixed with water ( basically duck soup) but he can’t be bothered with it. I also have tried scrambled eggs. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

You’ll put some on your finger and he’ll eat a little bit of it. Same with the eggs. But he won’t go to the dish and eat. Yeah he’s moving around and very vocal. He haven’t pooped yet. I was rubbing a warm cloth on his butt to see maybe if he was clogged up and that’s why he didn’t want to eat.

Yes, he’s drinking and walking around. The only time he’ll eat is if you put it on your finger and almost have to smear it on his beak then he’ll start eating little bits.

Nope, no poop from what I’ve seen.

How long has it been since he last ate and is he pooping?

I was feeding him little pieces of egg this morning and he ate a small amount and then he wouldn’t eat anymore. Nope no poop.

Is he the only duckling? My single hatched baby needed to be “shown” how to do it, but she slowly got the hang of it. Is his bill normal? Has he pooped at all? Have you offered dry crumble? Lots of questions!

Try putting the duckling into some warm water usually sitting them in water gets them to poop. Just make sure to pat him dry and right back under heat. How does it tummy feel?
