Help!!! Ducklings nostrils are sealed shut!

I just got a duckling yesterday and it had a really runny nose. I did a little research to find out what to do and gave it a warm bath today so it could play and dunk its head. It went really well, but the nostrils were clogged and not coming unclogged. So, I looked at what to do about that. I tried cleaning them out, but it didn't work! So, I took a really good look and realised they are sealed shut! It's like ear piercings that have healed up. You can see where the holes should be, but it's solid. The duckling is breathing fine through its beak, though. It doesn't seem to be bothered. I'm still worried, though. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know if this is really vet worthy or not since it can still breathe fine.

l only have two ducks, but as I'm sure you already know it is very important that they keep there nostrils clean. If it was me I would wait before calling a vet. If he has excess to enough water to keep everything clear he might be alright. I would just always keep a extra close eye on him.

I'll keep an eye on him for sure! How long of baths should I give him? Is it ok to bathe him more than once a day?

Are you leaving out water for it to access freely? Not a tub or basin it can climb into, just like sip from and dip it's bill into?

No baths. Chicks don't need them and warming up from the chill can deplete their energy stores. All it needs is a little dish of water it can dip its face in but not fall into.

A bath at this age is more for the enjoyment of the owner. I understand when you where first discovering what was wrong with him it sounded like a good idea. I think I would have done the same thing. But with out the mother to put her oils on the babies "feathers" there is a elevated chance of problems. I worry about the baby getting too cold once it leaves the water. Even tho I dry him off and put him under a heat lamp. All ducks must have water they can submerged there bills into. I would always err on the side of caution with this little one.

Baths are perfectly safe as long as you dont leave them unattended. I have let all ducklings swim daily starting around 3-4 days old. Preening and drying off is good for them. And they start using their oil glands. As long as they have a heat source so they dry off thoroughly and dont sit wet shivering.
I usually allow 10-15 mintues tops. And use warm but not hot water . And then get them out. I have done it will all my ducklings.
Maybe its kinda a deformity and no holes are there?

Baths are good excercise for ducklings legs. And stimulation. Something they start right away in the wild.
They are not waterproof, But 10-15 minutes is fine. And starting to preen and use their oil glands is good as well.

Under a warm lamp ducklings dry off quickly. If its an unhealthy weak duckling.. then you wouldnt put it in a tub.
But a healthy ducklings has plenty of energy to preen and dry off
