HELP DUCKS ATE MY GROUND ESPRESSO BODY SCRUB!!!!!

Please help!!! My 1year and 5month ducks(2) were in the tub ...when i came back they had gotten hold of my coffee ground body scrub!!!!!- it was everywhere!!! I immediately drained the tub and then refilled it with good water!!!! WILL THEY BE OKAY!!?????

How much of it did they eat? What were the ingredients?

It was a small container about a cup ..cup and 1/2 maybe and there were several ingredients in the scrub made with used coffee grouds from cold brew but i ended up adding some fresh ground espresso beans on top of the scrub that i was going to do something with later......

Other than taking them to a vet, I don't think theres anything you can do now other than closely watch them. Good luck.

How are they doing this morning?

I believe it was probably diluted down too much to cause any reaction. Coffee, along with other caffeinated foods, beverages can cause seizures, and death in birds, if a large amount were to be eaten. If a reaction were to occur it would have happened shortly after ingestion, as like us, coffee hits them pretty quick.

If they are doing O.K this morning, just monitor them.
