I have a naked neck chick that was fine an hour ago and now appears to be dying. He ate lots of food and that is all I can visibly see that may be wrong. Anybody? Anything?? I am holding a hairdryer to him and his head is just rolling around

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Why are you holding a hair dryer to him?!?!??!?!?!??

Try to cradle him gently in a comfy towel so his head doesn't go all over the place.

How old is the little one?

Any other info that might help folks help you?

I know it's hard to type and tend to him at the same time....

has it been drinking?

He seems cold and the heat lamp has new duckies....got him today from reptile show i dont want to expose my duckies to anything.....

Hard to say if hes been drinking - there has been water and I have seem them all drink at some point today. I have DMG i can try i guess....he seems to maybe be helpless does anyone know what might cause this all of a sudden? Can they eat themselves to death

Needs the right amount of heat but I can't imagine a blow dryer trained on him would be good. How old do you think he is?

You got him today........oh dear..........

How old is the chick? Maybe it got too cold??? I don't know anything about naked necks. I would imagine they would need the heat lamp longer then a normal chick due to lack of neck feathers.

I hope your little one makes it. You would see the crop fill up if it over ate.

X2 ....................I think that there are some issues with this chicken that can only be answered from who and where it was recieved. I say this because NN's are the hardiest most desease resistance breeds I know. Anyway keep that hair drier away or it will go into further shock.
