So I have a duckling that I've been taking care of. My mom just check on her and noticed she looked weak. Usually when you pick her up she squirms, then snuggles; but now she's just going limp in my hand what can I do?

Is it something that can spread to my chickens and ducks? She's had no physical contact with them.

@BYCforlife @chickens really

Idk if you know anything about ducks, but just in case.

I've been giving her sugar water and she's perked up a teeny bit. But then she kinda goes back to being weak. I think she's dying.

How old is it, how long have you had it, what have you been feeding it, and what are you using as a brooder? You started this thread yesterday:

Is this the new one?
It looks to be no more than a couple of days old. I've been giving it non medicated chick feed. If by brooder you mean a heat lamp, then yes. It is the same duck.

My mom and I were walking our dogs on property and I looked down and saw a little duckling. I took it inside, got it food, water, and heat. My mom and I looked around and found no signs of siblings, parents, or a nest. She was fine yesterday next to she seemed to like to sleep a lot, but she also was hyper when she was awake.

Edit:
I don't know if she has a vent. She barely drinks, and eats even less.

Does she still have her egg tooth?
