Help!!! egg cracked 2 days before hatching. Urgent!

I am sorry to say the little chick passed away last night. It looked like it was doing so well, then I went to check on it 45 minutes later and it was no longer with us. I guess it was just too much for the baby. RIP little chick. And thanks for the support everyone, too bad things didn't work out. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Thank you! I just feel so bad, I should have been more careful. Just this morning the same turkey thought one of the chicken's feeet was food. He had hold of her toe and was dragging her backward. Thankfully, he didn't hurt her any. Poor turkey, he doesn't mean to hurt anyone, he just has a REALLY low IQ.

Either way, I am thinking about inviting him over for Thanksgiving dinner.

On a good note, one of the other eggs is zipping, and the first chick is already eating, drinking, and just raising havoc. Gotta love em'.
