HELP!!! egg eating?!?!?!?!

I have a just turned one year old buttonquail hen that is always EXTREMLEY BROODY!! so I often take her eggs away as she in infertile (I accidentally bought inbred eggs (she hatched from those) and it is not uncommon for her to try and hide them from me, she often lays in very hidden places... I leave 2 eggs in the house so she will lay there...… but over yesterday and today the have gone missing?!?! I left no stone in my cage unturned!!! (there aren't actually stones) they are NOWHERE TO BE SEEN! I even checked if she buried them! so next I would assume egg eating, but NO MESS on them.... no shells.... NOTHING!!! they have simply VANISHED!! one yesterday, and one within the last 30 minutes!!! I was just painting look up and it gone:eek: PLEASE HELP!!! and yes, she is provided with every feed imaginable and oystershell on occasion (I have to boil egg shell because the chicken stuff is too large) HELP!!!

Are they free range ?
If she’s broody then she wouldn’t be laying eggs at all.
Her being inbred shouldn’t have anything to do with it

I DID catch my quail eating eggs less than 2 weeks ago. I cleaned out chicken egg shells in hot water and baked them in the oven on 175° for 10 minutes. I then run that through my food processor to turn it into almost a powder. I sprinkled some in a bowl of shredded squash, and on a cucumber cut in half. They absolutely went nuts for it! I did that and immediately they quit attacking their own eggs. On the other note* I have had quail actually bury eggs. I don't know your setup, but if that's possible maybe check for that

1# no, they are in a 55 gal aquarium. 2# I am not letting her go broody because I only leave on in there at a time (until she laid another yesterday). 3# it does, she got a Lethal gene.. I link a article.
