How many eggs can a chicken lay in a day? (Including commercial chickens)

Thanks for your help!

1 every 14 hours. Now you can always inject the chicken with
steroids and maybe it wil hit a home run record.

What would that do to your custard, though?

Some commercial egg farms drug the hens and manipulate the light to make them think two days occur in 24 hours. What did you say the correct answer is?

I said 1 a day. So is it possible for Commercial layers to lay 2 in a 24 hour period?

Like human menstrual cycles and ovulation, they ovulate and lay an egg on average once every 24-36 hours. Sometimes there can be a glitch, and the time period can be less or more.
