So my curious idiot of a chicken, Esther, ate less than a drop of paint primer. She is a barred rock hen, and just started laying a week or 2 ago. What should I do?
She seems fine right now, but I have no idea.
Will she be ok? How can I help her?
Thanks for your help!

Wow I have no idea.... you could try calling the poison control center or the manufacturer or an avian vet clinic? The only other thing I could think of would be to give activated charcoal, but that doesn't help in ever circumstance. I think it usually only works in the first hour after ingestion...
But I also can't imagine that a single peck of primer would be highly toxic.
Hopefully someone else has more advice!

Esther is fine now, thanks for all the advice. It realy helped calm me down about the whole situation. She has eaten other stupid things before ( a balloon bit, a few feathers, and multiple veggie straws, those were stolen), and every time, you guys are here to help. Thanks!

Also, today she tried to eat a paintbrush without paint on it, haha.

A lot of people leave just powdered charcoal out for them to pick at - some people even burn their own logs to make their own.
You can also use the liquid but I don't know the dosage.
Thanks, she seems fine, and when I googled, I found out some ingredients in the primer were on a list of things that administering charcoal for could be dangerous.
