HELP!! FAST I think my chicken prolapsed. Final Update

Thought I'd let you know, that my girl is still laying eggs and has not prolapes at all. The swelling is almost gone and I think she'll be back out with the girls in about a week.

Just wanted to thank all of you for your help in saving this little girl. It's very much appreciated.

Oh wait, I just checked on her again, and she's got horrible runs. Should I be giving her and antibiotic or something?

How's your girl this morning? Could the problem be from a change in feed while she was recovering? I can't remember if there was a drastic change while she was being treated. Hope all is well this morning.

Well, my DH said I had to get the chicken out of the laundry room. She was stinking up the clothes that were hanging in there. so I checked her out, and she was almost completely healed, little swealing but not bad. Took her back out to the coop, and they attacked her, started pecking her vent. I yelled at them and saved her. Now I have her out there in her hosptial cage and she's going nuts, but I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

All I can say is good luck! I too have one in a hospital pen because the others are pecking at her.
