About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my 17 month old barred rock pullet had what it looked like a sore on the back of her head about the size of a quarter. I recently had 2 additions to the flock, another barred rock rooster (who happens to be her chick) and a rhode island red pullet. When these 2 were hatched I had to separate them from the flock due to the others trying to kill them, I just recently re-introduced them. I figured that this was just a little "battle" wound from when I introduced the others. It eventually started healing and I ignored it. However 3 days ago I noticed that some of her feathers were falling out, again I kept checking of her throughout the day. Everybody was getting along at this point, roosting together, eating together, etc. Today when I checked on her almost all of her feathers are gone underneath her neck and it looks like a huge red sore/red area all on the underside of her neck. Her face also looks a little puffy however there are no sores or anything else anywhere else on her. I dont know if it is stress from the new additions, some sort of vitamin deficiency, or if something else is going on with her. Any advice? this is my first flock and I'm still learning . Thanks
