Im looking to fence off part of my allotment with 4ft high chicken wire. And clipping the wings of my two bantams would that be sufficient??

If I were you, I would look into Premier One's electric poultry netting. It is fairly easy to move, and I would recommend the 42 inch netting since you got a much longer roll, 164 ft I believe. I have used it for 5 years, and I do not use electric with it. I had to get a couple of cats and a yorkie out of it until they learned to go under it. Later, I got some 48 inch tall shorter length netting which was shorter sections between posts, and harder to move, but my chickens will not fly over the shorter net since they cannot jump up on it and over. So the shorter net was the best value, and you can place inexpensive step in spikes halfway between posts to keep it from sagging.
