this is one of my 3 day old Ameraucana hatches. They were fine around 9 this morning. Then about 45 minutes ago when I checked on them this one wouldn't come out from under heat plate with others when they all came out to eat and drink. When I looked under the plate I could see it gasping.

I immediately brought it inside and have given it Nutri Drench with a dropper. It takes some but mostly shakes is head and sticks tongue out. It also appears to have some difficulty walking.

No pasty butt. Not sure about poop yet. It is eating a bit of chick crumble that I wet down with the ND

It's chirping constantly now, but might be because it's away from the others.

ETA: I've switched to Durvet vitamins and minerals for poultry since the ND doesn't have any B vitamins.

I have a video of it if I can figure out a way to upload it

I've just noticed that the chicks crop feels rock hard as well, although it's tiny like the size of a pea. Anyone have any ideas for me. I'm trying to read any and all threads that might help, but I'm also the only one here and trying to help the wee one

Here are photos of the brooder that the chicks are in. They have a heat plate that is set slightly higher in the front than the back. They have clean water available via a nipple that they all use.

It's doing worse now. Fluid oozing from nostrils, possible from the water I've been giving it. It's very weak now, can't hold head up at all. Still had normal looking poop.

I'm certain it will pass away before morning. Too bad, it's the only blue wheaten I had in the hatch. :hit
