I have four that have hatched!! Thay are almost dry and there heads can touch the element still have 12 more eggs and a couple eggs cracked....... Do I need to worry about the ones already hatched??? Should I take them out???

They can stay in the incy for around 72 hours, so things will be fine. If you open it and take them out, it could mess up your humidity level, which can cause problems with the rest of the eggs hatching. (This is why it's called lockdown.)

But, if you feel the absolute need to open it......alot of people scoop the chicks out very quickly, and spray a mist of warm water into the incy as they shut it again.

I'd play it safe though and leave it closed, unless you see your new chicks panting--then it means they're hot and you should get them out.

Good luck!

When you say "touch the element", if you meant to say that they can touch whatever heats your incubator, you probably want to remove them.

If you meant anything else, unless they are causing a problem by majorly disrupting the other hatching eggs (like playing kickball with them), you're probably ok to leave them in the bator till they are dry.
