Help first winter with chickens

Darn. The girls might have enjoyed the pool, too.
Its funny, I have owned this house for nine years and not once has it ever occurred to me that there are no electrical sockets at all on the backside of my house.
Because it was snowing and sleeting the day I put their waterer in the pen, I stood there in r he yward

Stupid tiny phone buttons! Anyway, I stood in the yard with the "extension cord to nowhere" until I decided to open a window and run the cord through that.
