HELP! fleas! FAST!

HELP! Yesterday I was cleaning of my chiken shelf and fleas are everywhere is there something I can mix and spray on my chickens?

i use 7 dust for my yard but i dont know if you can use it for chickens

Do you have any DE around? That is supposed to work on fleas.

Diatomatious Earth. Be sure to get FOOD quality DE as it is safe for chickens and you.

You are sure it is fleas and not mites?

Yep DE will work and also you can use Apple Cider Vinegar too if you cant get any DE for a while. It sounds like mites or lice to me as they can jump to and in a way look similar. I use DE and ACV also just to make sure. I use the SCV full strength and it really szps them. When you do this remember to reapply around in a few days for the hatches.

a light dose of permethrin spray will kill them. be careful around young birds though not to put too much. sevin dust can be toxic to most animals. I don't recommend it.
