Help for burned chicken

My 5 month old RIR has been burned by something. Not sure what. Whatever burned her, cauterized the area. There are no feathers now. She has stopped laying,but is otherwise moving around fine. She is moving around so well, that I initially thought it was molting. I am new to this so did not know. We are putting neosporin on it. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Meantime, look for the source of the burn: exposed wire, exposed burner, piece of mobile equipment with an exposed muffler.
