Hi BunnyStyles,

Thank you very much for summarizing the treatment of poisoned Ducks. I have a young Indian-Runner duck which suddenly was unable to walk (see here) and it looks more and more like a poisoning. It might not be botulism as my ducks have no access to a pond (yet) but your treatment will definitely work with all kinds of poisonings. I suspect mine has either swallowed a small toad or a caterpillar.

Just an addendum to your great post. When you syringe water/food etc into your duck's mouth, make sure to do so on the side where their crop is located, otherwise you might force the water and food into their lungs.

Thank you for posting this. I'm 90% sure this is what is wrong with my duck. I am following your advice and keeping my fingers crossed that he makes it. I just found him in this condition this morning. Last night he was perfectly normal
