HELP for my turkey polt

I am new to raising turkeys. I have one hen who is doing great but a couple months ago I got 3 turkey poults. 2 didn't make it but one hung in there. It was doing fine but then took a turn for the worse. I think it has respiratory infection. I've been treating it with antibiotics and it's seeming to be doing much better. It's eating good and putting on weight but it still seems really weak. Help what can I do. Btw I've been giving b12 liquid also. Any help will be appreciated.

It would be better to give vitamin B complex rather than vitamin B12 only. They really need the other B vitamins too. You can make a solution at the rate of 1/2 capsule or tablet dissolved in 1 gallon of water. make it the only source of water and do not mix anything else in with it. It should be made fresh daily.

Perhaps @casportpony can chime in as she is the closest thing to a medication expert that I know.

B12 is supposed to be good for appetite, but a b complex with thiamine and niacin would be better I think.

Can you post a picture of the poults poop?

Is your 1 hen a turkey or a chicken? What respiratory symptoms are you seeing? What are you feeding including treats? What antibiotic are you treating with?

Turkeys require higher nutrition than chicks do. More protein and amino acids. Feed can have a major impact on health and not feeding correctly is a common mistake for first timers is part of the reason why I ask.

The other posters made good suggestions. Hope your turkey starts to thrive!
