Help! Found a duck

I found a duck about a week ago. i kept him inside for a little while, then i put him in with my chickens because he seemed lonely. None of the chickens like him though, they don't pick on him but they won't let him get close to them. What do i do? Do i just need to get another duck or is there some way to have the chickens accept him?

What kind of duck is it? You need to get another duck. And provide them with a tub of water.

He's a plain white duck. I take him inside a put him in a plastic pool but he can't have a regular one outside because the water freezes

Breed? Also how did you find him?

I'm not sure what breed, I found him walking down the side of the road.

I think he is just a common domestic duck

There are a number of ideas in the stickies section. Ducks do seem to like other ducks. Also, it takes quite a while for ducks or other birds to get used to each other. Does he have a drake feather and a very whispery quack, or does he quack loudly?
