Hi there!
I'm new to winter with chickens. I have a chicken that I got from a friends last batch of the season
I live in rural cold Canada and weve had a cold snap lately then there was rain for one straight day and my coop flooded. I got the coop dry and cleaned out but I noticed this chicken refused to stand on her foot. What are.your suggestions to help the chicken if it is frostbite?

Also her eyes look weird to me anyone else?

Last question can you tell a chickens health by their tail feathers? seems her tail is a bit blah

It does look a bit like frostbite, especially the whitish toe on the left foot. Her feet are probably very painful. Do not massage or rub them. Bring her inside, and you can soak her feet in slightly warm water to gradually warm the feet. You can apply betadine to the feet or Vetericyn after they are dried. Keep her inside where it is warm, or do not bathe her legs. Her face looks very pale and her eye looks a bit sunken and red like she might have conjunctivitis or pinkeye. Does she have any bubbles in eyes, nasal drainage, or any sneezing or gasping? I will check back in the morning.

No bubbles or anything like that. I've been treating two of my other chickens with this issue though. should I bandage her feet? she seems to investigate them quite a bit and shes pecked at it a few times. the toe in the back is currently black :( any advice is welcome. Thank you so much!
