Thanks you guys!

Once again, a great community here. It's amazing the help/advice one can get in a flash at BYC. it's amazing how these little feathery friends can get under your skin and into your heart.

easttxchick, and Guinea Goonie, thank you for your kind words. Goonie, we have already decided that keeping an eye on the flock for any future symptoms is the smart thing to do.

Karen, thanks... Being grateful and appreciating the abundance we have brings us more. Life is easier when we recognise this fact, instead of just seeing and focusing on the bad stuff in life. People give that so much energy and emotion, without even knowing it. Life is GOOD!

Chris-
Can i ask where you got this very useful info? Was it on BYC or another site? I spent 2 hours trying to figure out a dose for meds for my girls this morning. the info on gapeworm and dosing is very informativeand I am curious to know about other diseases/ailments. thanks

Well, Thanks for the input on this issue. Our Girl just passed. We just buried her. We hope that she was not in too much pain, and that she passed quickly. We thank her for her life and the bounty she gave us. Once again, BYC community thanks for the advice, what a great online community. -Tom and Joseph PS-On a bright note, the one hen we had that went broody (also a blk austrolorp) has her very first chick, now close to 4 weeks old. Dad is a Silverlaced Wynadotte, and we don't know who the actual mom is!
Did you ever figure why she died? My chicken just passed of the same thing. Do I need to do anything for the other chickens? Thanks!
