I had 15 eight weeks old chicks. 2 of them were wheezing and sneezing, so I'm giving them all Duramycin-10 (400mg dosage).

They are not wheezing anymore, but I lost one bird last week and another one about one hour ago. They are ALL puffed up, with droopy eyes and wings, and are pooping bloody diarrhea!!!!

Not sure what to do!!! Tried to find side-effects for Duramycin-10 but it's impossible to find it.

I'm on day 10, but I want to quit giving it to them right now, and start with a Rooster Booster.

Any ideas??? HELP, PLEASE!!!!!!!

Is it possible it's Cocci? Most of what I hear about bloody poop is related to cocci in which case they need to be on a 5 day regimen of Corid.

Hi everyone.

Thanks for your replies. I tried to reply before, but had problems wit my computer and couldn't do it...

It was cocci, you were right. I bought Corid the day after your replies and gave to them.

I lost 6 juveniles, and the 9 survivors are still recovering. I hope they make it! I just put them on rooster booster now. Let's see what happens.

I'm relatively new to the chicken world and still have A LOT to learn.

Thanks for you help, it saved at least some of my birds' lives!!!!
