We have 2 male Guinea (all that is left after coyotes attacked ) they do everything together. Noticed 1 missing yesterday and the other going crazy looking for him.
Anyways today when I go outside I find the missing guy. He was caught in a section of the neighbors fencing
He is hanging upside down by his foot/leg. It is broken for sure and the leg isn’t attached by much skin left.
We was able to get him down and get him to drink a few sips of water.
As of now he is in the house laying in a cat carrier ( thinking to try and warm him up. Been cold here)
My question is … can we save him?
Do we splint the leg? Or do we cut the dangling part off and wrap? Where would be a good place to get antibiotics? I really don’t have the heart to put down.
